It’s Not Too Late to Create a Business…
Even If You Don’t Know Where to Start

Life didn’t come with a roadmap for this stage. Maybe you spent decades working for someone else, raising a family, or focusing on responsibilities that left little time for you. Now, as you look toward retirement, you’re realizing you could use some extra income—but the idea of starting something new feels overwhelming.

If you’re here, I’m guessing you’ve been thinking, “How can I make extra money without having to work for someone else again?” Maybe you don’t have a business idea (yet), maybe technology makes your head spin, or maybe you just want something simple that actually works.

At Great Idea Girl (GIG), we help women preparing for their future discover realistic ways to earn money—whether you have a passion or not. We don’t promise overnight riches or pressure you into something that doesn’t fit. Instead, we offer simple, step-by-step guidance to help you find and build a business that works for you.

I get it. Starting something new at this stage of life can feel a little… What am I even doing? But here’s the good news: You have skills, experience, and more wisdom than you probably give yourself credit for. And trust me, there’s a way to turn that into extra income—without the stress, scams, or having to dance on TikTok (unless you want to).

Here’s what I don’t want for you: Wasting time and money on things that sound good but have almost no chance of dollars to your bottom line. There are too many “gurus” out there promising gazillion dollar profits while leaving out the realities of doing business today. That’s not what we’re doing here.

Instead, I want to help you do the strategic work of figuring out what business is actually right for you and developing an actionable roadmap to get it launched. One that fits your strengths, your lifestyle, and your current financial position. One that isn’t built on luck but on a real roadmap to success.

So, take a deep breath. You don’t have to have it all figured out today. Just take the first step, and I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.

You’ve got this! And if you don’t? Well, God got us do—so let’s do it together.

What business can you start?

We know not everyone has a lifelong hobby or talent they can turn into a business, and that’s okay! There are plenty of ways to earn extra money without being “passionate” about something. Here are a few examples:
  • Use the Skills You Already Have – From customer service to organization, the things you’ve done in past jobs (or life in general) can be turned into a freelance service.
  • Sell Products (Without Making Them Yourself) – Print-on-demand, drop-shipping, and reselling make it easy to start a store without the hassle of inventory.
  • Monetize What You Know – Whether it’s simple home hacks, life experiences, or something else, there are ways to turn your knowledge into online courses, e-books, or coaching.
  • Low-Cost, Low-Risk Side Hustles – Start small with things like digital downloads, tutoring, consulting, or managing social media for small businesses.

We know starting something new can feel intimidating, so we take the guesswork out of the process. Our resources are designed for women who:
  • Don’t know what kind of business to start
  • Need practical no-fluff guidance that fits their lifestyle
  • Want to work at their pace without pressure
  • Would love a flexible way to earn money on their terms
