So my POV has been that Shopify’s plan is to add a marketplace offering of some sort to their capabilities. They’ve been building the pieces for it with the Shop mobile app, Shop Pay, and now a Search site not limited to mobile. Sure it’s rudimentary…but it’s a another piece of the marketplace pie. Shopify is designed to be DIY-friendly but with the enhancements and new features that have been added over the years, the platform can feel overwhelming if you're a newbie. So many people say they want to write a book or start a blog to tell their story. That's okay to do as therapy, not so much as a business.
